Tamilnadu Electricity Board Online

In The Year 2008,dated as 08/10/2008 as per G.O. 114 tamil nadu electric board was rebuild, as a company by the name “Tamil Nadu Electricity Board“(TNEB) Ltd and holding two subsidiaries under it named as “Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Ltd” (TANTRANSCO) and “Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd “(TANGEDCO) as pointed out in the mandatory requirements of Electricity Board 2003.Consequent to its rebuilding,  tamil nadu electricity board online under  “TNEB”  has launched separate websites. “TANGEDCO” and “TANTRANSCO” has separate services under tamil nadu electricity board online.

Under the Companies Act, 1956 the Government of Tamil Nadu approved the registration of “TANGEDCO” as G.O.38 dated 21-05-2009 and thus its incorporation was done on 15-06-2009. 

Starting its operation from 14-12-2009,TANTRANSCO under its parent company tamil nadu electric board has now being fully owned by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu.Further re-vesting, the state Govt. had transferred all related Assets and Liabilities to and from 01-11-2010 by using the Transfer Scheme vide G.O.(Ms).No.100 Dated:19.10.2010.
